DAYTONA DOWN-LOW

Playoff Bound!

TONIGHTS GAME!

Well it looks like out Daytona Tortugas made their way into the playoffs this year! So if you didn’t get a chance to make it to the last games of the regular season you can still see them play live. This will be game one of the division series versus the St. Lucie Mets.

If Daytona wins this game they have to play @ St. Lucie for game 2 on Thursday as its a best of 3 series. This will be the first time Daytona has qualified for post-season play in consecutive years following up last years 2024 season. If you need tickets for the game you can get them here at this link!

LOCAL BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT

100 Years of Service

Gilley’s is located at 104 Bay St, Daytona Beach

For the local businesses that have been in our area for decades they must be doing something right. What about when they have been around for a century? That’s right Gilley’s Shoe Shop has been around since 1925.

I stopped in last week and the owner was busy as can be putting some new soles on a pair of cowboy boots. Glad to see a business that is centered not around production, but restoration. If you’ve got an old pair of boots or shoes that you haven’t worn in a while, dig them out of your closet and let Gilley’s breathe some life back into them!

REAL ESTATE CORNER

Top Sold Home

3548 Tuscany Reserve Blvd, New Smyrna Beach

This weeks top sold home definitely took its time, sitting on the market for 14 months! It was originally listed in July of last year at $1.45M and finally sold lat week at $1M after a years worth of price drops and cancellations.

I’d say the home itself wasn’t very updated and was priced too high to start with (clearly). But the positives are the size being a 5 bed 4 bath house with over 4,800 sqft, and the location inside of one of Venetians gated communities. Check out the interior photos and more details here at this link.

PET OF THE WEEK

Marley!

This is one of the favorite sections of the newsletter. Every week I receive pet photo submissions and have to pick a winner and it’s not easy. Send in your photos (by replying to this email) for a chance to have your pet featured next week!

This week we have Marley the most relaxed German Sheppard! In this photo she is laying down in the rain catching some drops in her mouth. She is a rare breed as most dogs don’t like the rain.

You going to the playoff game tonight?!

How 433 Investors Unlocked 400X Return Potential

Institutional investors back startups to unlock outsized returns. Regular investors have to wait. But not anymore. Thanks to regulatory updates, some companies are doing things differently.

Take Revolut. In 2016, 433 regular people invested an average of $2,730. Today? They got a 400X buyout offer from the company, as Revolut’s valuation increased 89,900% in the same timeframe.

Founded by a former Zillow exec, Pacaso’s co-ownership tech reshapes the $1.3T vacation home market. They’ve earned $110M+ in gross profit to date, including 41% YoY growth in 2024 alone. They even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.

The same institutional investors behind Uber, Venmo, and eBay backed Pacaso. And you can join them. But not for long. Pacaso’s investment opportunity ends September 18.

Paid advertisement for Pacaso’s Regulation A offering. Read the offering circular at invest.pacaso.com. Reserving a ticker symbol is not a guarantee that the company will go public. Listing on the NASDAQ is subject to approvals.
