DAYTONA DOWN-LOW

Doris Leeper Trails

Bluffs at Doris Leeper

If you haven’t been out to Doris Leeper preserve, I highly recommend checking it out. Not only do they have hiking trails, but they also have horse trails, mountain bike trails and even disc golf.

Most of the walking trails are covered by a tree-top canopy which is nice when the warmer weather hits to keep you shaded. We have some great nature trails hidden in plain sight, get out there and enjoy it!

Reminder of the Full Throttle Festival

We are getting close! Make sure you get your tickets to Bert Kreischer’s Full Throttle Festival. This is the ultimate pre-party for the Daytona 500. On the menu we will be having

  1. Beer

  2. Comedy (obviously)

  3. Music (Lynyrd Skynyrd)

  4. BBQ

All of these are the essentials to a great way to kickoff the NASCAR season! Make sure to get your tickets by clicking the link here.

LOCAL BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT

Best burger in town

The Breakers Restaurant in NSB

Well, I was trying to think of one of the most iconic locations and best burgers around. And surely Breakers NSB makes the top of the list. Been serving up great local food right on the beach since 1990 (36 years).

It’s safe to say they are doing something right. They don’t just have burgers either, the fish sandwiches are great too! If you haven’t been here is their menu.

REAL ESTATE CORNER (TOP SOLD HOME OF THE WEEK)

3212 John Anderson Drive, Ormond Beach

This weeks top sold home is another beauty off of John Anderson in Ormond Beach. It was originally listed for $2.2M in March of 2025 and sold last week for $1.7M.

Being on the beachside, with a pool, and a dock on the river it’s not a matter of if it will sell, but when. The real eye catcher on this home is the West Indies inspired interior, from the exterior you’d never guess what it looks like.

PET OF THE WEEK

This is one of the favorite sections of the newsletter. Every week I receive pet photo submissions and have to pick a winner and it’s not easy. Send in your photos (by replying to this email) for a chance to have your pet featured next week!

This week we have Fern the donkey! Who happily does monthly yoga with the goats out at Parsley Lane Farm in NSB. If you haven’t met the goats and donkeys yet they usually have a class monthly!
